About Ali Golds
“Enabling the young entrepreneur of today to enable the young entrepreneur of tomorrow.”
Managing Director, Ali Golds, set up Operation Enterprise in May 2011 in response to the number of young entrepreneurs she was coming across in her work as a Business Studies college lecturer - who felt unsupported and often bewildered at the road ahead of them. They wanted to provide for their futures, and in many cases were already running businesses with varying levels of success, but were unable to access the information and support they needed in order to further develop their enterprises.
Ali, a successful entrepreneur in her own right of many years standing, found herself in almost instant demand for advice and mentoring support from students so developed the Start up for Success programme; a one day workshop for young entrepreneurs. Shortly afterwards, she was approached by a number of organisations to work with them and began building her reputation as an approachable, professional and extremely knowledgeable entrepreneur who is able to offer practical and insightful support to youngtrepreneurs of all ages.
Since setting up the company, Ali has gone on to work as an Entrepreneurship Consultant for a number of colleges as well as set up The Juno Project (focused on female entrepreneurship) and is also in constant demand for speaking engagements.
She is also leading on a recently announced government review of enterprise education, with the final paper being delivered later this year.
Ali and her team work across London and the South East delivering one day student workshops, entrepreneurship consultancy and training programmes for colleges, and networks for teaching staff - and 2013 will see the company rolling out its offer to the South West and Midlands.
As Ali says, "It only takes one person to believe in you to make you feel that you can achieve something; and often, that's all the youngtrepreneurs I come into contact with are looking for. If, using my experiences, I can inspire young people to become a success in their minds - then I have succeeded."
